Why won't doctor prescribe medication for elderly patient?

A relative was recently admitted to hospital with hugely swollen legs which were diagnosed as a result of congestive heart failure. She was discharged with no medication whatsoever, including no diuretics. She is in her 80s and had meds/oxygen for emphysema. I can't help wondering if they have just not prescribed anything because of her age and pre-existing condition. Any medics out there who could advise?

She needs to see another doctor. She should be on several meds.

call the doctor and sound upset so they can take proper measures--give her meds.

Someone forgot. Unfortunately, it happens.

Give her family doctor a call.
