英文文法及句子問題

"He is gone" = "he is not here"
(gone 係形容詞)
Also, "He is gone" 亦可解作他死了

2.
"What was that"
通常係問人發生了什麼事，所以係過去式。

3.
to - 係有direction, 而 for - 係支持,給予或者有原因的意思
其實to & for 係preposition. 唔同preposition配同一個動詞，意思會唔同，eg
I look at you
I look for you
I look forward to see you
你可以在綱上找preposition,便有很多實例,查字典亦可.

4.
i will play it for you 同 i will be ok
都係future tense. 第一句的 'play' 同第二句的 'be' 係動詞. 'be' 可作係的意思.
I will be ok = 我會沒事的

He is gone.
Gone is a past participle. It functions as an adjective in this sentence.

What was that? 那是甚麼??

I will play for you. will = modal verb 助動詞 play = main verb
I will be ok. will = modal verb be = main verb

(1) he is gone= gone=past participle of go in usage=passive vioce.eg:-He has (just) gone after killing his parents.
He has (really) gone on that night.
He has gone.
(2)to=when speaking of the clock;it's five to nine (in the morning);eg:-It's one minute to 8(am);=7:59.

She's coming home for dinner. She didn't answer for several minutes(=3 minutes). I have ears for listening !I have no ear for her shouting !
(3)be :-verb; auxiliary verb(v+ing)used to form the progressive tenses of verbs:-eg:-Don't disturb me while I am playing.She was shouting when he played.They've been asking a lot of postings for 5 marks !When will you be having dinner? (It will be 8 o'clock; okay? )The car's always causing trouble.I was told about it----It will not be okay !She has not been invited !
