What should I do with these four o'clock seeds?

I have picked up some four o'clock seeds on my neighbor's four o'clock 'cause the flowers are so beautiful and I would like to have some. Last, last week I have picked up some and immediately put them on a pot, after four-five days I noticed some seeds are sprouted but those seeds discontinued to grow until i just leave them, and just water if the soil starts to dried up. So my questions are:

What should I do with these seeds before bringing them on the soil?
Where should I put these seeds, on the top of the soil, just few centimeters below from the top or create some holes, insert them and cover a soil?
Should I water them everyday, even if the soil is wet?
Is it true that I should dry them up before planting?

Please help me, I'm 18 and just a newbie in gardening.

Grow them in the ground not a pot. Wait till next May to plant them. Save the seeds in a dry dark place wrapped in dry paper towel. Next May plant them in ground, after that they will self seed and come back year after year. But always save some seed in case they don't show up.

Four o'clock is very easy to grow. Just push the seeds into the soil with your finger for about an inch, but do not cover the seeds - water and wait.
