(1) A hawker sold 1500 pieces of key chauns at a loss of 20%. He lost a total of $6000. Find the cost price of each key chain.

(2) A cat and a dog are not satisfied with their weights. If the weight of the cat is increased by 20% while that of the dog is decreased by 10%, their weights will be the same. What percentage of the dog's original weight is the cat's original weight ?

Let $y be the cost price of each key chain.

1500y × 20% = 6000
1500y = 30000
y = 20

Cost price of each key chain = $20

Let C and D be the cat's original weight and the dog's original weightrespectively.

C(1 + 20%) = D(1 - 10%)
1.2C = 0.9D
C/D = 0.9/1.2
C/D = (0.9/1.2) × 100%
C/D = 75%
C = 75% × D

The cat's original weight is 75%of the dog's original weight.
