The rule here is that an answer *must* answer the question asked. Not quibble about it by asking what it means, etc.

That's happened to me a couple of times, even after the poster selected my response as "best answer". Don't sweat it. It could have been a mistake...

You are answering a question with a question, therefore, you are breaching the q-and-a format. You must reply to a question with a definitive answer.
