Does carry on liquids have to be in a clear bottle?

I have a bottle of moisturizer that is pretty expensive and it is in a black bottle. It is 50ml, I was wondering if I can bring that on my carry on because I saw on a website saying that liquids in opaque or metal containers or containers that cannot be easily scanned will be thrown away. I dont want to throw away that bottle of moisturizer and I am not checking baggage. This is what the moisturizer looks like: http://www.scform.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/labseriesbb.jpg

Also, how many 100ML bottles can you bring if it is in a one quart bag?

It does not have to be in clear bottles. The LAB series moisturizer is good to go.

Small metal containers may or may not be subject to additional screening but not much else. (Likely the latter, but if the former it will take only a few extra minutes of time.)

As for your last question.. the conversion is approx. 946 ml. per quart... so up to approx. 9 such bottles should fit.

No, the bottles do not have to be clear. The 1qt Ziploc baggie that they go into must be clear.

You can have as many bottles as you can fit into a single 1-qt Ziploc baggie. Each bottle/container must be 3.4oz (100ml) or smaller in size.

the containers do not have to be clear.
the 1 quart size baggie you put the containers in does have to be clear.
you can put as many 100ml or smaller containers into the baggie as will fit while still allowing the baggie to be zipped shut.

The bottles themselves do not have to be clear, but they must all be 3.4 ounces (or less) and in a clear, quart size ziplock bag. You can put as many as you can fit into that bag.

The bottles you put in the 1 quart size baggie do not have to be clear. Just the quart size baggie has to be clear. And each bottle in the baggie have to be less than 100mL.
But since you read that it could possibly be thrown out, just buy a travel sized 50mL plastic clear bottle from your nearest drugstore and put as much moisturizer that you'll need for your trip.

you can't bring liquids onto flights, unless its obviously water. Even then, not always. It also depends on what airline you are taking, though.
