Has anyone had to only take green beans and corn with them to a potluck?

I suppose you could make some sort of salsa if you have seasoning (bring chips :). You also could make a casserole beforehand.

well if that's the case make them special , try a green bean casserole or green bean almondine , for the corn you could roast it on the cob or mix it with tomato and jalapeno cooked in butter and garlic topped with fresh parsley .
