If I hold a Hong Kong LLB degree, what do I have to do to get qualified in Canada?

I am a Canadian citizen born and raised there, but only did my law degree in Hong Kong due to family reasons. But I really want to go back to Canada after university without having to give up my goal of becoming a lawyer.

What do I have to do after uni graduation?

I've been researching a lot on the internet, but I hope someone who really knows this can help me so I don't make any mistakes in the process.

Thanks

Jackie is dead on right. You'll have to take law courses here in Canada and pass the bar exam in the province you settle. Hong Kong law isn't relevant here.

HOWEVER, you might have a leg up on some of your fellow students. Get your degree there, pass the bar and come back and qualify in Canada. Many law firms would give anything to have a lawyer knowledgeable in Hong Kong law as well as Canadian.

You can only practice Law in the country you got the degree because of the different laws, I live in Scotland UK and if someone graduates with law in Scotland they cannot practice law in England UK, You will have to do another law degree in Canada, Good Luck
