There are NO RADICAL NUMBERS OR EXPRESSIONS IN THE TEN PROBLEMS YOU HAVE PRESENTED !! VOCABULARY MATTERS !

I think your problem is READING !!

3. From the sum of 3a^2-a-3 and 2a-9, subtract a^2-3a-7

sum of: (3a^2 - a - 3) + (2a - 9) = 3a^2 + a - 12
subtract (a^2 - 3a - 7)...

(3a^2 + a - 12) - (a^2 - 3a - 7) = 2a^2 + 4a - 5

one at a time...these are SIMPLE QUESTIONS INVOLVING COMBINING LIKE TERMS !
