If unpaid part of partly paid capital is called, should unpaid amount be booked as receivable in the balance sheet? As you know, such contractual agreement are known as stock subscription, and the shares involve are called subscribed share capital. In general accounting practice, the purchase price is debited to stock subscription receivable , and share capital subscribed is credited.
