Skyrim keeps crashing randomly, and usually for the same reason: some kind of sound error. The Papyrus log file reads as follows:

I don't seem to have any sound or audio plugins, so I've already ruled that out.
Skyrim keeps crashing due to a sound error.?

How would my motherboard be affected to cause such problems? Everything seems okay to me. Also I'm using a XFX 7970 HD card, and seeing as how it handles everything else I throw at it just fine, I doubt that's the problem. Processor is a 3.20 quad core, and I got about 32GB of RAM, and as for the SSD the game is hosted on, 43+ GB available. System is updated to the most recent DirectX, so that rules that out.

Presuming you do not have a stolen (warez/torrent/pirated) game, do you have:
Skyrim Specs: (Video Graphics is where most machines fail the test)
You Do need a machine that meets these requirements for Skyrim.

• 6GB free HDD (Hard disk drive) space

• DirectX compatible sound card
• Internet access for Steam activation
