Hi All,
I went to the dentist today and had a normal check up, one of my teeth needed to be x rayed as the dentist could see shadowing.I need to have a cap put on this tooth however after she checked the x-ray she told me the root canal that was done on the tooth looks like it was done incorrectly and needs to be redone before she could attempt to do the crown.
The issue I have with this is that the dentist told me I would need to see a specialist to have the root canal re done and this would likely cost over £600.This tooth was done by a previous dentist in 2004 and I have not had any problems with this within 10 years the only reason i need a cap is due to the tooth wearing away.
- I am currently unemployed so would not be able to afford to have this done.
- This is not my fault if the root canal was done incorrectly first time round.
I'm really stuck in what to do as I don't want to have this tooth taken out I would like the cap done but I do not want to pay over £600 when this tooth should of been done correctly in the first place as i have always paid for my treatment I would of paid for this to of been done. I have only been out of work recently.
Please help.................
