熱(heat)是指物體所擁有的總熱力能(Heat Energy)

溫度(temperature)是指一個物體釋放/吸收熱力能(heat energy)的程度，是決定物體接觸時熱力能流向的標尺。

兩個物體接觸時，如果溫度不同，熱力能只會從溫度高的物體流向溫度低的物體。

舉例如果有一個100度的煙頭，和一大塊0度的冰。因為冰塊的質量比煙頭大得多，所以冰塊本身的熱力能其實多過煙頭，但是，接觸的時候，熱力能會從高溫度的煙頭，流向低溫度的冰塊。


熱和溫度是對熱力情況的不同描述，就如一個人的身高和體重的不同一樣，兩者都是在描述一個人，但描述的方法及重點不同。

"Heat"(熱) is the macroscopic manifestation of the internal energy (內能), which is the kinetic (動能) and potential energies(勢能) of molecules, possessed by a substance.

"Temperature"(溫度) is a physical quantity used to measure quantitatively the degree of hotness or coldness of a substance.

熱 (heat) 是 能量 (energy)。

温度 (temperature) 是量度 熱 的一種指標。
