Hello,
I was hosted by a host family in UK from last September to last week, and I now have gone back to my home country. Would you please teach me how to write them a letter to thank them and telling them that I have arrived safely, in a polite way?

Say thanks, tell them that you had a great time and how you are doing these days.

Use the word "appreciated" as well as "thank you". Describe some of the highlights of your stay with them. It sounds like a whole school year, so there should be plenty to say. You could enclose a couple of pictures of your own home and family, plus your snail mail and e-mail addresses.
Plan on corresponding with them every month or two. It sounds like a relationship that's well worth keeping up.

write what you feel..... as best you can... if you were with them that long they will know your speaking and will understand your words..... just say what you would say to them if you were there with them.....
