Eucommia ulmoides Oliv. (EUO), as a medicinal herbs in chinese pharmacopoeia-(Shennong Bencao Jing) has been recorded since ancient time. It is widely used for nourishing the liver and kidney; strengthening the muscles and bones are in treating of lumbago [41], as well as, and have also been linked to many diverse health problems, such as to prevent abortion, increasing longevity and lowering blood hypertension etc [2]. The various kinds of bioactive components of EUO have been developed or proved in vitro and vivo assays in recent years, including anti-oxidant, anti-osteoporotic, anti-HIV, anti-mutagenicity, anti-microbial, anti-diabetic, immunosuppressive activities, regulation of nervous systems, hypertension treatment, chronic fatigue syndrome treatment, and hypogonadal-related diseases, are shown in follows [17,42,23]:
