Were they checking me out?

I had to dress up today for a school thing, and I was walking in the hallway with my friend, and we came to this point where the road was narrow, and there were guys, and I walked first in front if a group of guys and my friend was like, " They were gazing at you" the I was like, " yeah right. " then she was like, " They momentarily stopped what they were doing and looked at you." I wasn't dressed like a ****, I was dressed appropriate for interview.
