A piece of wire 2.5 m long correct to the nearest 0.1 m:

2.45m < or = 2.5m < or = 2.54m (correct to the nearest 0.1 m)

Using the smallest wire above for calculation:
2.45*100
=245cm

Wire cut into small pieces of 5 cm. long correct to the nearest cm:

4.5cm < or = 5cm < or = 5.4cm

Using the largest wire after cutting it above for calculation:
245/5.4
=45 pieces (correct to nearest integer)

45 pieces small wire > 44 pieces small wire
Therefore, we can get 44 pieces small wire after cutting.

2.45m < or = wire < or = 2.54m

4.5cm < or = small pieces of wire < or = 5.4cm

2.45m ≤ Actual value of the wire's length ≤ 2.54m

4.5cm ≤ Actual value of small pieces of wire's length ≤ 5.4cm
