Hi everyone.
Recently, I have read a book about Mother Teresa.
It gives a detailed account of her life and accomplishments.
It's not until I finish this book do I realise what love really is.
Though I read lots of biographies of some of the greatest men of all time before, none inspires me in the way as this book does.
So let me share the qualities and accomplishments of Mother Teresa we, as young people, should learn from.
Mother Teresa spent her whole life helping the poor, which earned her unanimous praise from the international community.
She won numerous international awards such as the Ramon Magsaysay Award, the Balzan Prize and the Albert Schweitzer.
Perhaps the most well-known one she won is the Nobel Peace Prize and these prizes are an assurance to her lifelong effort in helping the poor which is worth learning.
Besides, she donated to the poor in India all the money she was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize. It displays her selflessness in helping the needy.
Besides patients, Mother Teresa also helped people under discrimination, for example, the Leprosy patients.
Her love would not change with anything, including religion.
She helped the Hinduism monks too.
All these show the selfless love Mother Teresa had,
which she tried to spread to every corner of the world.
Mother Teresa has changed my way to look at ''love''.
My ''love'' is not selfless and demands returns,
whereas Mother Teresa's love is selfless and requires no returns.
We should learn from her willingness to sacrifice and her kind heart to help those in need.
