Good morning/afternoon/evening, ___. First of all, I must say thank you for this interview opportunity where I can let you learn more about me. My name is xxx and I'm a recent graduate from xx Secondary School. I would like to apply for the Foundation Diploma programme in Business offered by the Institute of Vocational Education because I want to pursue a career in the accounting industry.

Talking about my interest, I like reading novels and business reviews to gain knowledge and nurture my business sense. And I'm also a person who would keep my promise and strive for the best. For example, at school, I have always treated the duties assigned to me by my teachers seriously with no exceptions.

I know that good English is essential for any accountants today and accounting is a harder subject compared with the others. Therefore, I would like to spend this year to brush up my English for this programme. It is not easy though. But still I would try and not give up this golden opportunity. It is really my sincere hope to get admitted by IVE to this programme. And I hope that, through this programme, I would achieve what I want, and never again disappoint those who have expectations on me.
