I need help. Recently my computer has been freezing when I try to play games. A couple weeks ago I downloaded free ride games which is a free game program. Yesterday when I clicked on a game on my desktop to play it black bars appeared on both sides of the screen and the desktop froze. I kept having to press the start key to go to the start page and restart my computer to unfreeze it. Earlier I uninstalled free ride and reinstalled it, but that didn't work. I then installed a different free game program and it did the same thing. I don't know why it's doing this all of a sudden. It was working just fine. I scanned my computer for viruses using AVG and there were no threats found. McAfee said the same. What could be the problem and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Hello

Could be that your system simply doesn't have the processing power for that game, but be carefull, it could be a virus as well.

Read here how you can maintain your system in a good and healthy way http://windowsinstructed.com/windows-8-1-kind-maintenance-need/

If you have a restore point that created the date before you downloaded free ride games. Try to restore at that date before install ride games hope it will fix the problem.

No worries. It may be because your computer isn't fast enough to to process the game. But if it's getting slower and keeps freezing, you may have a virus that both programs can't recognize. Just be careful what you download off the internet it may kill you computer. Had to learn that the hard way!
