A medical report is used to determine how serious is the assault. Even without the report, a person can still be prosecuted when the fact about the assault can be established. The medical report will simply the excuse for the suspect to ask for a lesser charge and sentence.

應該唔得,一來事隔已經咁耐,法律係有追究期限,過左期限就唔追究得,二來當時又冇報警又冇驗傷,警察點證明你打傷人,三來又無醫生證明你傷左邊度,點告你?四來就算傷左都已經好番(某d傷),咁點追究你責任?
