I go to school和I good to the school的分別是I go to shool意思是：我返學校
I go to the shool意思是指：我返這間學校
加the 在school 前面是指明這一間學校的意思。
所以兩個用法都得，但整個句子的意思就不同了！
the shool,the prison係得，不過與school,prison意思就不同
同樣hotel和the hotel意思都不同了！

如果你係講指定的 school 同埋 prison 都要用 the。
如果唔係講指定的，只係泛指 返學，坐監，咁就會無 the。
