Why can't people give straight answers on Yahoo Answers?

Those that say Google it and things like that they are violations and should be reported.
I do use Wikipedia a lot mainly because they will use better English than I can.
Often questions that sound straight forward are not and require a lot of writing and for two points it isn't worth the effort
The asker may only be looking for a sentence, but it may take a write-up to answer a question in the best manner

I give my own answer if it can be done in one paragraph. If someone is asking for detailed instructions, I look it up and give a link. That's partly why the words below here say "What's your Source". I'm glad you are one of the people who look up the answer first before you post a question.

Now you made a very good, but sobering point here. I agree with what you mentioned in your question. The problem lies with certain users who wanted only the two points by doing just that. All this does is not provide the facts that you demanded to all of your questions. Anyone who answers your questions must always give out detailed information, as required by the Community Guidelines. It seems they are already oblivious to the violation being committed in the process. They should be reported as a non-answer or point-gaming. By reporting those users, they will be put on notice they must learn to answer questions properly and with relevance. Remember you must always enforce your bottom line on this one.

so true!!!!!! and people probably say stupid answers because its an easy two points lol

all right. and that gets on my nerves also. I guese people are too stupid to relize that it dosent help
