For the past 2-3 months I've had low iron and have felt tired, dizzy, and breathless because of it I've been going back and forward to the doctors for blood tests from trying out new medication to see if its helped rise my iron levels but nothing seems to work, I eat red meats and everything, I've actually lost weight because of it all, I've tried adding multivitamins as well and vitamin c tablets as well, I don't have heavy periods infact they've stopped completely for the past 4-5 months. I've had iron problems before but this times nothings helping they think something could be bleeding or something could be going wrong in my tummy, im only 15 so any ideas?!?!?!?!??!

Your Doctor would prescribe an iron supplement if he thought you need it, you can also ask for a vitamin B12 shot as it takes vitamin B12 to produce red blood cells. Many of the vitamin B12 supplements that you buy are cyanocobalamin which must be metabolized by your liver before it can be used, much of the B12 you get from your diet would be hydroxocobalamin which also has to be metabolized. The B12 in the shot would be methylcobalamin which can be used directly. You can also buy methylcobalamin in sublingual tablets which dissolve under your tongue and soak into your blood through the mucous membrane of your mouth, it's often called Methyl B12.
