1. y = 25 sqrt x(a) log y = log [ 25 sqrt x]
= log 25 + log (sqrt x)
= log 25 + (1/2) log x
(b) Now the y - axis is log y and the x - axis is log x, the equation is transformed to : y = log 25 + (1/2)x which is a straight line with slope = 1/2 and y - intercept log 25.

Assume you mean y = (sqrt x^7)/1000
log y = log [ (sqrt x^7)/1000]
= log (sqrt x^7) - log 1000
= log x^(7/2) - log 1000
= (7/2) log x - 3
so slope of straight line is 7/2, y - interecept is - 3.
