Which of the following chemical(s) can be used to dry ammonia solution?
1 anhydrous calcium chloride
2 calcium oxide
3 concentrated nitric acid
i know the answer must not be the HNO3 but i do not know how to choose from the two options left?
Plz explain your answer as well !!!!!!!!!!!!

2!!since drying agent should not react with the material being dried
since anhydrous calcium chloride reacts with ammonia,it cannotbe used to dry ammonia solution
CaCl2+4NH3->CaCl*4NH3
