Question about the Army, please help.?
My boyfriend has recently left for Army active duty for infantry basic training on the first of April, he is prior service so this basic training is a lot easier but longer as well he has to go through basic for 10 weeks then 4 weeks of AIT. He was told that he qualifies for ranger training school which is 3 months, would he be able to come home after AIT first to visit his family before leaving for another 3 months or would he be going right after AIT? And while he's in training would we be able to keep contact through the telephone or letters? Anything? Please help I am so new to this.

no time off while in a training status.. he will do ALL his training first. after he gets done with WLC/basic..whichever one he is being sent through as a PS candidate, he will have semi regular access to cell phones and internet.
After basic yes phone and letters
ummm some problem here with your story. The Army does not send Prior service to Basic training . Also Infantry training is a OSUT course and is not spit basic/ait for active duty. He simply would join a unit that has already entered in to the later phase of training or would be OJT trained Ranger training requires time in MOS before a determination is made for a slot . your story is BS
