What is the enthalpy change of reaction?

2HCl + Na2CO3 ----> 2NaCl +CO2 + H2O

heat released= +315kJ mol-1
HCl 有 2mol
Na2CO3 有1 mol

我知答案係- 315kJ mol-1

點解-315/mol of Na2CO3 而唔係315/mol of HCl
我呀SIR 話咩 2mol HCl 進行左1mol 次reaction,
如果要除要將HCl 個mol除返2,其實我唔明,


請各位CHEM 神解救我

Enthalpy change of reaction is defined as the enthalpy change when ONE mole of reactants as stated in the balanced equation react to form products.

In the equation, 2HCl + Na2CO3 ----> 2NaCl +CO2 + H2O,
there is 2 mole of HCl, so the enthalpy change of HCl in the reaction should be divided by 2.
