I think the question is wrong, the boundaries for a 95% confidence interval for the mean lifetime is (d)

calculation:

for 90% confidence level,za/2=z0.05=1.96

required confidence interval
=(45-1.96*2.5/√100 , 45+1.96*2.5/√100)
=(44.51 , 45.49)

if 95% confidence interval,
Ans is 44.58875 to 45.41125
