Landlord與Landowner有何分別?

Landowner 地主 = someone who owns land, especially a large amount of it.

Landlord 房東, 地主, 業主 = a person (or company) who owns a house, a flat, an office etc., and rents it to other people.

Landlord = (酒店﹑酒館等的)店主

Landowner 可以做業主, 租地方給人.

舊英國英文: 男女有別
Landlord = 男房東 (香港俗稱包租公), Landlady =女房東(香港俗稱包租婆)

Lease (租約) 上有 landlord (業主) 和 tenant (租客, 房客)

站在現在商業城市, 多數使用 landlord
landowner多數使用在舊時或者現在, 地主擁有一大塊田地, 傳子傳孫, 傳落去
在歐美, 常見有用 landowner這個字

嚴格來說, 香港沒有 landowners, 只有向政府 lease, 到期補地價

香港人用 property owner 比較適當
