(2) I will quit on 10 January
If (2) is correct, the last working day is

B. 9 January

If you resigned on 10 January, you have to give one month notice, therefore you would be quit on 9 February.If you want to quit on 10 January, than you should have submitted resignation on or before 10 December.
If you quit on 10 January, your last working day will be on 9 January.
