WHAT IS THIS BOY DOING?

Okay there's this guy that I'm pretty sure likes me, he looks at me all the time and looks away when I notice him looking. He also gets nervous when I talk to him and all my friends think he likes me. Anyways, today my friends and I were looking for someone and he came up to us and asked who we were looking for (I don't think he would've asked if I wasn't there because he's never spoken to either of them but him and I are sort of acquaintances.) So the whole time he wouldn't look at me, but he always looks at me when I'm not that close to him. And then about ten minutes later we were in the hallway and he was staring at me.He looks at me so much, like 8-10 times a day in class. He doesn't do this to anyone else either. He seems kind of shy. I know for a fact he's looking at me too so I know he's not just looking around the room/at something behind me. So is this a sign that he likes me? That he looks at me when I'm not near him but when I am he won't look at me?
