Do you find clubs and bars to be boring?

I remember as soon as I turned 21 years old seven years ago people were telling me that I need to go "clubbing" and to bars. I never had any interest in either places. To me it's like going back to high school with legal alcohol, still possible illegal drugs, and very immature people who lack self control. I don't like the music too. Unfortunately,I live near Chicago and it's notorious for that crappy techno/house music genre. It's over rated and I am very bored after 5 minutes of being there. People act like it's the bee knees when really it's a place for superficial activities and people. Anyone else feel this way? Just curious to see what the responses are.
