I read a chain letter and im feeling extremely scared someone please help?

well earlier today i was taking a break from school work and went to Facebook to chat with some friends. Anyways, i looked at the news feed etc. then i came across a cool looking car picture and decided to like and comment the picture(it was the new s63 mercedes) anyways in the comments section there were some good comments then i came across the chain letter. It said"please dont stop reading or you will die" i read it till the end etc. it was about some kid who is dead called mike and the letter said if you dont repost to 20 pics in comments section you will die at 11:59 pm. I got scared and did it to 20 pics im not sure if it was exactly 20 pics i just quickly copied and pasted the letter. anyways, that happened around 3:00pm since then i have been feeling extremely frightened im not sure whats going to happen.i saw something outside as well that was just standing there like a shadow or something. are chain letters actually real? someone, please help

Chain letters are as real as the monsters under your bed -- they exist only after your parents, a story you read, or a movie you watched told you there was something under your bed.From an internet standpoint, chain letters are used to get people to forward emails, eventually creating a letter that has hundreds of email addresses that chain letter starters know are easy to hack (of course you would be easy to hack if you're naive enough to believe that a chain letter is real), making forwarders an easy target for spammers. (Purely my speculation so take these words with a grain of salt but that's beside the point)

Chain letters don't have any power, and certainly not the kind that kills. If they did, the human race would've wiped itself out with chain letters long ago and there wouldn't have been any weapons invented to fight in wars.

chain letters are fake. otherwise, i would've been killed by the ghost of a dead 12 year old who fell down a manhole during a fire drill about 3 times now. nothing's going to happen, even if you didn't repost the comment. i mean, what, just because you read the words all of a sudden you are somehow blood bound to complete whatever task has been set upon you or face the consequences? nothing more than words and your own fear

Chain letters have no effect on you at all. It really is just a cheap thrill for someone when they start one. The odds of something bad happening around the arrival of a chain letter are as big as winning the lottery. If it did happen, it would be one miraculous coincidence. Relax! Watch a good movie!
