From time to time. sometimes, occasionally(sometimes, but not often).

1. I first run on a treadmill at the gym. I am busy working and spend a little time working out at the gym, but I will go there time to time.

2. I cook myself every single day, but I eat at a restaurant with my friend time to time.

3. I usually watch a movie in my room. I also go to a nearby movie theater time to time.

I hope this is helpful.

"Time to time" is not a common expression. "From time to time" is. It means "occasionally."

(from) time to time does NOT mean daily. It means occasionally and is generally not used for any sort of regular schedule. You might say "regularly" if you meant that there was some sort of pattern, such as daily involves. From time to time means not at a regular schedule, but it is still something that gets done now and again. You will do the thing, and you will do it again some unknown and likely unplanned time in the future, and on and on. here and there, now and again, from time to time.

On a daily basis.
