what's it called when someone gets so mad and angry that they literally can't help but get violent?

it's like they become a totally different personality all together. anything can trigger it. and they can't stop 'til they literally tire themselves out with crying. is there a drug to help balance out their unstable personality?

I think it is called many things. Out of control ( like the other answer ) bad behavior, bad manners, immature, etc. Using anger as an explanation for violent behavior is not acceptable in our society and might in time lead to encounters with police and eventually jail. An anger management course might be a solution. The angry individual must learn to control his anger and resulting violent behavior before society elects to imprison for such dangerous outbursts.
Additional -- Everyone gets angry. But one cannot act on that anger unless willing to pay the consequences.
