這句其實是 Type 2 的 conditional 中 if 部分哦，Type 2 的 conditional 中 if 部分是用 past tense，後面用 would + bare infinitive。

而 Type 2 的 conditional 暗示了 if 部分是「不可能發生的假想」，故此 If I didn't have so much trouble with cactus plants 即表示「I didn't have so much trouble with cactus plants 在現實中是不可能的」，換句話說，即「在現實中，I have so much trouble with cactus plants」

Second conditional 不是 "with past facts"
是講現在或將來 unlikely or improbable conditional
雖然用 past tense, 言及的事件與過去無關

Third conditional 不是言及將來, 是講過去 impossible conditional.

The subjunctive mood type 2:-with past facts opposites hypothesis:-
eg:-If I had not so much trouble with Cactus,I would have admired it in Flower-Show.(didn't have =had)
Type3:-with future facts opposites hypothesis:-
If I had not so much trouble with Cactus, I would certainly make admiration for it in flower-show.(didn't have=had)
