1.How can Ministry not know who conjure it?
can not 轉can't可以嗎?

唔可以。因為問句How寫法規則之一是把cannot的意思分拆，要把主詞夾在xxx和not之間。除了問Why can’t you do it?這類外，其他的問句一般都分柝的。

2.We shall ignore factors extraneous to the problom.
點解形容詞extraneous唔係放係factors前?特別用法?

唔係特別，而係extraneous to係一組意思/phrasing指向”the problem”.其實更詳細的寫法是
We shall ignore factors that are extraneous to the problem.

3.We lived in mortal dread of him discovering our secret.
discovering our secret 係串連him?可否舉一例?
不太明你問乜類同例子:
We stop him wondering around.

4.What is that he is drinking?what is it you want to show me?
改為what is he drinking?What do you want to show me?
意思有咩分別?
基本沒有分別，因為這兩句都是口語的處境說話。第一句“that”是當時指著他那杯東西講，那才有意思的附加指示。
第二句”is it”的那it亦是意指有某東西來講，其實這句亦可以更明確地說:What is it “that” you want to show me?
