How to fix computer with malware and won't boot up?

My computer wouldn't boot up and I highly suspect that it is a virus. I've tried using a boot up disc but it wouldn't work. And when it does turn on, it only shows a screen with weird lines and patterns that changes all the time and occasionally a computer setting screen that doesn't react to any commands. Please help if you can! I'll really appreciate it.

Get a screen full of weird lines and patterns usually does not indicate a virus. With a virus they normally want you to be able to boot the PC so they can either steal information from it or make it do uncontrolled things so that you are forced to pay them to get it cleaned off. It is very rare that they will prevent a computer from loading.

That sounds more like either bad RAM or a defected video card.

Poster two is correct that if you can not boot the hard drive, the only option you may have is to remove the hard drive and attach it to another computer. You can either install it inside as a second hard drive or put it in a USB enclosure and attach it externally. Boot the computer from its hard drive and run a virus scanners on your attached drive.

It is better if you show it to someone professional because no one can prescribe you a correct advise without seeing it
