I will be staying near Clarke Quay station . planning to go to chinatown one night ( i heard chinatown a lot of things to see at night, i am not sure)
I know just 1 NEL station , but how far if i want to walk >> ??
other than dinner, what else in chinatown at night ???

Only about 5-10 minutes walk. Just follow the main road down -- you can't miss it. Chinatown is a pretty lively place at night. Lots of touristy stalls selling all sorts of trinkets and souvenirs. It's also interesting to visit the Hindu temple (Singapore's oldest).

You can travel between those two places by subway, will take a few minutes. They have a subway station in each location. I thought China Town in Singapore lacked a soul of a typical China town elsewhere. In a nutshell,Singapore is like food courts, food courts and more food courts. Just like you can't count your hair you can't count the number of food courts there.
