Mammogram and Ultrasound of Both Breasts

* In the mammogram examination, the breast tissues are heterogeneously dense
* Multiple circumscribed lesions are scattered in both breasts
* Bilateral tiny benign roundish breast calcifications are present
* No pleomorphic malignant calcification is seen
* There is no nipple retraction or localised skin thickening
* No enlarged axillary lymph node is present

* In the ultrasound examination, a hypoechoic solid lesion with no distal acoustic
shadowing is noted at 9 o'clock position of left breast 6cm from the nipple
* It measures 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.0cm in size
* The depth-width ratio is less than 1
* The margin is smooth and well defined
* The lesion is not hypervascular on Doppler imaging
* Multiple cystic nodules are also scattered in both breasts
* The right breast cysts measure from 0.4cm to 1.4cm in size
* The left breast cysts range from 0.4cm to 1.3cm in size

Comment
1) Well defined palpable smooth solid left breast nodule is noted at 9 o'clock
position, could be due to fibroadenoma or breast carcinoma.
Suggest correlation with biopsy findings
2) Multiple bilateral breast cysts are present, compatablle with fibrocystic disease.
