假設宜家係八點,我開始食晚餐,咁我係八點講"I had dinner from 8:00pm to
8:30pm last night." 有無問題。

假設宜家係五點,我係四點半收到Mary封信,咁我係五點講"I received
Mary's letter at 4:30pm in the afternoon." ,係五點鐘個陣,封信係我個度,咁
我係五點講"I received Mary's letter at 4:30pm in the afternoon." 有無問題。

✔ 最佳答案
宜家係八點,我開始食晚餐,咁我係八點講——Now is the 8 point, I start dinner.
宜家係五點,我係四點半收到Mary封信——Now is the 5 point, I received a letter from MARY four thirty.

The first scentence is logicaly correct. However, I would recommend you to use Past Prefect if you want to emphaise the length of your dinner. You can say: I had been having dinner from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. last night. Thus, past prefect is used to emphasis the duration. If you want to say i have my dinner at the same time today as yesterday. You can say: I had my dinner at 8:00. If you are now having dinner, you should say: I am having dinner.

The second scentence is correct in tenses. As your statement was said after you had received the letter.

Usually, a specific will not be mentioned oftenly because it is dumpy. You can rather use 'this afternoon' merely.
