Lately I've been focusing on A and A* questions that I have forgotten the basic (uh ohh) so yh, I forgot how to do LCM and no video clips on youtube seem to be taking the discombobulation within my mind :D so I come to you:

LCM(24, 60) = 120

Done!

LCM means lowest number that is divisible by both 24 And 60.

60 obviously is not divisible by 24. So the next multiple is 120. 120 is divisible by both 60 and 24 and that is why it is the answer

For such simple questions, you can tell by observation alone. work really isn't needed for this.

Find all the factors of '24' & 60' by dividing to '1' by prime numbers.

2)24 = 2)60
2)12 = 2)30
2)6 # 5)15
3)3 = 3)3
= 1 =1

Hence the common factors are 2 x 2 x 3 = 12
This leaves an 'extra' '2' & '5'
Hence
12 X 2 X 5 = 120

120 is the LCM (Lowest Common Multiple ) of '24' & 60'.
