How to tell if you were deleted/blocked on Snapchat?

So I added a guy on snapchat, and then he added me. I just checked, and when I try to see his best friends, it says he doesn't have any (even though he did before). When I try to snapchat him, it never goes through and stays "pending". His name still shows up in my friends list. Did he block or delete me? Which one?
