Depends on how you define "best"
For the fastest, use Macs
For the most reliable and compatable, use Windows
For more open source(for programmers), use Linux
It really depends on what "best" you are looking for.
I prefer Macs cause games and stuff run faster.

There isn't. You use the OS that best meets your needs. If you need to take advantage of Windows, use Windows. If you want to take advantage of every Linux has to offer, use Linux. If you want to use OS X, but a Mac. There is no "best" OS--they all have their pros and cons; some are better at doing things than others. Anyone who says anything different doesn't know what they're talking about.
