My Sims keeps crashing?;-;?

I already had Island Paradise expansion pack and I have no viruses or mods installed. Then I got Sims 3 pets and started to play in the new town, Appaloosa Plains. Then all of a sudden as soon as I finished furnishing my house, my Sims crashed. I tried again and the same thing happened. Anything i can do?

turn down the res.

I don't know what your processor, operating system, or graphics card is, but your computer may not be able to handle the game. A general rule of thumb when purchasing software is to have more than what the requirements are on the box to play the game smoothly and without problems
