Which subject would be better?

So I have chosen tech, which is like woodwork with one of my friend for one of my choice subjects.
And well, she decided to change it into IT( information technology), and she asked me to change with her. And there's few problems. I'm a year 10, so grades are quite important. If I stay with tech, I would probably have higher probability to get an A; whereas in IT, it would be almost impossible to do so. But say if I change tech into IT, my other subjects will probably change as well, then my whole timetable would be different and I might be alone in some classes. But if I don't change, and my friend did, I will be alone in 2 of my classes, which I don't want because I hate to be alone.
But since my friend is going to change it, I might be able to change with her, and then all our lessons will be together. Also, although IT is better for my future, I don't really know what im going to do when I'm older, so it might not really be helpful.
But IT also effect what subjects I can choose in year 11, because if I didn't choose IT this year, I won't be able to do things with IT next year. But the thing is I might not do IT next year.
So my problem is, I don't want to be alone but I want to get good grades, what should I do?
