What will getting my nose fixed be like?

I fell down some stairs and into a table when I was 6, so now I have a deviated septum. They didn't want to fix it back then, because I was so little, but now I'm 17 and tired of not being able to breathe well and having sinus issues. I want to look into getting it fixed, and I'm wondering what the process/procedure/recovery will be like.

You will go to the doctor,he will knock you out, when you wake, you will be groggy, and you will have some pretty serious pain for a few weeks. A year later, you will have your new nose. The surgeon will tell you all this during your first consultation.
