Store,Stock和Inventory的分別

STORE (noun)
= a supply of something that is kept to be used later (儲備)

We have a store of wood for the fireplace.
I'm afraid my store of wit is rather depleted. (~ used figuratively)

用 store 時, 要提到 store of (what ?), store 不是解 "儲備物"

STOCK (noun)
= the supply of goods available for sale in a store (存貨, 供應物)

That popular camera is out of stock. (~ or in stock)
“out of stock” 不能用 inventory 或 store 字取代

Other use:
STOCK (noun)
= a supply of something that you keep and can use when you need to.

The government has said it has no need for chemical weapons and will destroy its stocks entirely.
Much of the city's housing stock (= the number of houses in the city) is over 100 years old

有時 stock 與 store 意思差不多

INVENTORY (noun)
= a complete list of the things that are in a place (存貨清單)

We made an inventory of the laptops in the computer shop.
She made an inventory of everything in the apartment.

store 是貨倉，stock 指某一貨品是否有存貨，inventory 是所有貨品庫存情況。
