The commonwealth means nothing when it comes to applying for a visa to visit either Australia or the UK. Its a political alignment that "people" have nothing to do with. For Australia you have to go through the same requirenments and hoops to jump as anyone one else...commonwealth gives you no advantages.

You think wrong. You are not special or different.

commonwealth countries do not interchange citizenships

You are wrong.......... when commonwealth countries became independent that is when SOME people who lived there had options to remain/become British or take citizenship of their own country.......... so unless your parents were born in Australia or the U.K and have Australian or U.K citizenship you have no rights to be a citizen either..............

It's nothing to do with the commpnwralth it's up to the particular country. You would have to get residency in the country you wanted to move too never easy, citizenship would be years down the line.

WRONG..NO SPECIAL TREATMENT...Far from it these days...WE have gone our separate ways..WE are in THE EU....

By qualifying in the country you are interested in. There is no agreement to allow citizens in any Commonwealth countries to move about. No special facilities, no special treatments. You get the paperwork, see if you qualify, apply and wait to see if you are accepted.

Mate, if commonwealth citizens had some sort of right to british citizenship or australian citizenship the populations of india, pakistan, nigeria etc would empty into the uk and australia overnight. You then surely see how the answer is no. There is absolutely no right to citizenship of what to you is a far flung land just because of the fact their both in the commonwealth. I dont know where you got this information but its wrong. Its ridiculou really. If you could all have british citizenship, there'd be about 2 billion british citizens whn only 60 million are actually british.
